- Model 50264 (Gas Anesthesia Platform and Mouse Mask Pictured) can be used with the Mouse/Neonatal Rat Adaptor (model 51625) which is used on the ‘Rat and Mouse’ Lab Standard model stereotaxics, the Just for Mice (model 51725) or as a stand-alone platform for dorsal surgery.
- Model 50267 (Gas Anesthesia Platform and Rat Mask) allows for anesthetization and positioning of the rat outside of a stereotaxic device. It also is an ideal platform for dorsal surgery. The platform provides a means of easy movement of an anesthetized rat to and from a stereotaxic apparatus or other device.
- The Gas Anesthesia mask is installed over the incisor bar, with the cone opening toward the open “Uâ€. The animal (rat or mouse) is installed by placing its teeth over the incisor bar, and sliding the adaptor forward until the cone is snug about the animal’s nose, thereby substituting for the nose clamp. Once the teeth and the cone provide a snug, stable hold, the platform is lifted onto an appropriate stereotaxic device.

Gas Anesthesia Masks for Stereotaxics
Designed for mice or rats in a Stereotaxic Instrument. The Gas Adaptors for Stereotaxic instruments, enable gas anesthesia of rats or mice in a Lab Standardâ„¢ or other stereotaxic instrument, without exposing the researcher to the gas. The Gas Anesthesia mask is installed by removing the nose clamp from the standard rat adaptor, and sliding the adaptor over the incisor bar, with the cone opening toward the open “U”. The animal (rat or mouse) is installed by placing its teeth over the incisor bar, and sliding the adaptor forward until the cone is snug about the animal’s nose, thereby substituting for the nose clamp. The teeth and the cone provide a snug, stable hold. Anesthetic gas flows in the tubing connector, past the animal’s nose, and out the other side, where it may be routed to recycling, exhaust, or gas analysis instruments.

Mouse and Neonatal Rat Adaptor
This adaptor allows using mice and rats even if you only have a rat stereotaxic frame. This adaptor is designed for use with traditional ‘U’-framed stereotaxic instruments like the Classic Lab Standard series. Ear and bite bar heights can be independently adjusted to accommodate all needs.

GasVak Multi-Station Gas Scavenger System
This active scavenger unit removes waste anesthetic gases from the pop-off valve on anesthetic machines or from the end of a non-rebreathing circuit. Atmospheric equalizers adapt each anesthesia machine to an evacuation hose which can be routed to either a ceiling or wall outlet w/balancing valve. The waste gas is then vented outside the clinic via 1 ½” or 2″ PVC pipe and a vacuum fan. An additional balancing valve and atmospheric equalizer is required for each additional anesthesia location.

Gaymar TP700 T-Pump – Pads
T/Pump System Localized Warming and Cooling Therapy
The new 700 series T/Pump? system replaces the popular model TP650 providing safe and effective warming and cooling therapy with precise temperature control. By circulating water through a leakproof pad, conductive temperature therapy effectively treats a variety of localized conditions including muscle and joint pain, arthritis, and edema. It also helps prevent body heat loss and hypothermia during veterinary surgery and recovery. Surround your patient with continuous warmth by connecting two Mul?T?Pads to one T/Pump?. Gaymar provides adapters for all major brands of heat therapy pumps.

Thermal Cautery Unit – TCU
Currently Unavailable!
For almost a century, Geiger has provided physicians with reliable and durable cautery equipment.
The Geiger TCU is ideal for applications such as dermatological, ophthalmologic, ENT, plastic surgery cases, urology, podiatry, or any procedure that requires accurate hemostasis. The autoclavable handpiece with six-foot cord accepts an assortment of thermal cautery electrodes. Unlike Electrosurgery the thermal cautery utilizes direct heat, eliminating the possibility of aberrant radio frequency currents which can cause unintended tissue damage, shocking, or interference with pacemakers, defibrillators, and monitoring equipment.
Unlike disposable battery powered cauteries, the TCU maintains the desired temperature during tissue contact and does not rapidly diminish.

Model 2000 and 2002 VENTILATORS
Electronically controlled, time-cycled, pressure limited ventilators.
Electronic control– Eliminates the substantial driving gas required to operate pneumatically controlled ventilators.
Time cycled– Insures consistently spaced breaths. The possibility of stacking breaths or auto-PEEP is eliminated by keeping the I:E ratio constant at 1:2. This means that regardless of the respiratory rate setting two-thirds of each breath will remain for expiration. The respiratory rate is adjustable from 6 – 40 breaths per minute (BPM).
Volume constant — Insures that each delivered breath will have essentially the same volume, independent of changes in patient compliance and airway resistance. The deliverable tidal volume (TV) range is from approximately 20ml to 3,000ml using 3 interchangeable bellows and bellows housings as seen here. Most small animal facilities require only the small bellows attachment , seen at the left, with the standard size ventilator, center.
Pressure Limited– Provides for patient safety by limiting the maximum working pressure (MWPL) to a user adjustable pressure range of 10 – 60 cm H2O. The Model 2002 was introduced after numerous customer requests for a finer volume adjustment at the low end of the range. We added a finer volume control in parallel with the existing control on the Model 2000. Everything else about the Model 2002 is identical to the Model 2000. Both ventilators are equipped with dual airway pressure alarms that monitor and sound when the peak inspiratory pressure (PIP) of any breath either exceeds the preset maximum working pressure limit (MWPL) or fails to reach 6 cm H2O as in the case of a disconnect . A Low Supply Gas Alarm available as an option, would sound when the supply gas pressure falls below 35 psi, 2.4bar. The normal supply gas operating pressure is 50psi or 3.5bar. It is not until 35psi or 2.4bar that the ventilators delivered volume will begin to drop off proportionally with the supply pressure. |
